Regulatory announcements

Bloomsbury is pleased to announce that Leslie-Ann Reed has accepted an invitation to join the Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from the 17 July 2019, subject to her appointment at the AGM of the same date. Leslie-Ann is a Chartered Accountant and was formerly the Chief Financial Officer of the online auctioneer, Go Industry Dove Bid plc. Prior to that appointment, she served as CFO of the B2B media group Metal Bulletin plc, and as an adviser to Marwyn Investment Management.

Leslie-Ann Reed was selected after a rigorous search process. She will be a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees. She is an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of the AIM listed company Learning Technologies Group plc, and a Non-Executive Director of the German listed company ZEAL Networks SE where she is Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board and Chairs the Audit Committee. Until May 2018 she was a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of the London listed publisher Quarto Group, Inc.

In accordance with Listing Rule LR 9.6.13 (1) Leslie-Ann Reed has held no other directorships in any other publicly quoted company at any time in the previous five years, save as disclosed above. There is no further information to disclose in respect of LR 9.6.13.

Leslie-Ann Reed does not have an interest to be disclosed in the shares of Bloomsbury.

Jill Jones will resign from the Board on the 17 July 2019 and will not stand for re-election at the 2019 AGM. Jill Jones joined the Board in 2013 and became Chair of the Remuneration Committee at the same time.  We wish her well for the future and thank her for her valuable counsel and guidance while at Bloomsbury. Upon Jill Jones's departure, Steve Hall will become Chair of the Remuneration Committee.
